Biggest orchid I've ever seen. Most of these orchids were kept on stands because there is bacteria in the ground that will kill them (they grow in treetops.) In front is the man who cares for the nursery. He used to be an orchid hunter and has several species named after him. He said the most common way to find new orchids is during logging operations when you search fallen trees.
